What is the difference in taste between lactaid skim milk and organic skim milk?
Someone told me that lactaid tastes better. I currently use an Organic skim-fat free milk. I buy organic, because it has a longer expiration date. I was wasting SO much of it, even buying it in the half gallon size. I do notice it tastes “cleaner” than regular milk also. Has anyone ever tasted both lactaid and organic milk? Is there much of a taste difference between the two? Does lactaid contain the same type of nutrients as organic milk? Thanks…

Lactaid is fortified with the enzyme Lactase( Enzymes which are proteins that facilitate a metabolic process) lactase which in this case breaks down the sugar lactose found as a di-sacharide within milk. As babies we have this enzyme but some of us lose it after we are weaned particularly if you don’t drink milk in your infancy. Organic milk has nothing to do with Lactose intolerance and is more an issue of naturally fed cows without hormones or antibiotics.
